Privacy

Neurosmack is built around private learning workspaces.

This privacy overview explains the categories of data Neurosmack uses to operate the product and improve learning workflows, on the web and in the Neurosmack Light Android app.

Account Data

Neurosmack may process account identifiers (username, email, password hash), authentication state, subscription details, and product settings needed to run the service. Signing in with Google shares your Google account name, email, and Google account ID with us via Google Sign-In.

Study Material

Uploaded documents, URLs, notes, images, videos, and generated chapters are used to provide study tools and personalized practice.

AI Processing

When AI features are used, relevant portions of learning material may be sent to configured AI providers to generate summaries, questions, study aids, images, or audio.

Analytics

Usage analytics, progress signals, and error information help improve reliability, adaptive recommendations, and product quality.

Android App Permissions

The Neurosmack Light Android app requests Camera access to scan and photograph text sources, Microphone access to record audio notes attached to a class, and Internet access to sync your content with our servers. Text recognition on scanned images runs on-device (Google ML Kit) and image data is not sent to Google as part of that feature. The app does not include analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs.

Data Retention & Deletion

We retain account and content data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time from account settings on the web app or by emailing support@neurosmack.ai; requests are honored within a reasonable time except where retention is legally required.

Children's Privacy

Neurosmack is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
